However, periods of forced self-isolation in 2019 and 2020 made many people to reconsider their approach to choosing food. This caused a serious impulse for online sales growth all around the world.
In Russia, in particular in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, the share of e-grocery increased in this period. This affected even such traditional category as chilled meat.
Direct from factory to home
In the end of 2020 JSC "Poultry Production "Severnaya" launched its own retail online shop in a test format. Since January 2021 online shop became available in normal mode.
In online shop presented own products. There are retail packages, family formats - chilled chicken "Poultry Production "Severnaya" brand and premium quality ready-to-cook chicken products "Lomonosovskie Products".
Products deliver strictly on the day of production. The opportunity for customers to order first-fresh products directly from the factory with home delivery became a project key advantage. Direct logistics (from factory to the end consumer), professional control of compliance with ISO and HACCP standards and the presence of refrigeration units in carrier vehicles – all these conditions guarantee high biosafety and complete protection of products from temperature changes and spoilage.
